![]() ![]() This is not our fault, it is how Tobii works. A good way to do it is to prepare a separate template with one single event, which starts TOBII. ![]() NOTE: Making the connection between the machine of Psyscope and the host machine takes a variable amount of time from seconds to one minute, so, it is recommended to set the START event at the very beginning of the experiment. This command will write a string like this in the experiment For example, if the data file name every run of the program with a different subject name or number should save a different Logfile in ClearView. (I believe you can also use expressions here, which could change the datafile automatically. Because you cannot overwrite an already existing file, you must change the name of the file (specifying it in the "Data" part). Without Psyscope will send an error message. This action takes a mandatory parameter: the file name. In this way, there will be no need to save the eye tracker file later, from Clearview. You can also tell Tobii the name of the file where to log the information. It will write in the script commands likeĮventActions: Conditions ] => Actions ] You can simply start recording, if TOBII is ready on the other side. You find them all in the Event Attributes of your events. PSYSCOPE ON OTHER MONITORS SERIESPsyScope gives you a series of actions you can access via the graphical interface, accessible as parameters of the TobiiEyeTracker action. PSYSCOPE ON OTHER MONITORS PCThey always work with macs on the PC side, it depends on your ethernet card.ġ.2 Add TOBII commands via Psyscope EventActions Generally, you will want to connect the two computers with an ethernet cable directly (with the new machines, in principle normal (non-crossover) cables should work. If you want, you can run the experiment via network, with the Tobii IP address specified. This field must contain the IP address of the Tobii machine. This is not visible from the graphical interface. Add the Tobii host Experimental Attributes, MANUALLY, in the Psyscope script, in the ExperimentDefinition section. With this flag off, you can write your script, test it, and only connect the Tobii when needed. WHEN YOU ADD THE TOBII COMMANDS, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO RUN THE SCRIPT ONLY WHEN TOBII IS PRESENT, unless you specify the following flag in the Experimental Attributes, MANUALLY : PSYSCOPE ON OTHER MONITORS MACMost likely, you will want to have a screen switcher that allows you to toggle the Tobii screen from the Win machine running ClearView to the Mac machine running PsyScope, and vice-versa. Once you are done with your script, you can use the Tobii screen as a secondary screen with PsyScope, by attaching it to a Mac with support for double monitor, and present the stimuli you want under the control of PsyScope. ![]() Here are the basic modifications that you need to add to your script. You can now start and stop the Tobii, send marks, and save the Tobii log. In Beta II we added support for the Tobii Eye Tracker. (Doc prepared by Erno Teglas & Luca Bonatti, 07/12/05) ![]()
